Historic 5 bedroom Belle Époque Villa with spectacular views
Set in a beautifully manicured Mediterranean garden the villa and its terraces offer far reaching views across the rolling hills to the azure sea and the island of Corsica
The Villa
Although large the villa remains entirely intimate in proportions. Natural light rebounds throughout the home: on the main level is a large drawing room and office as well as the formal dining room with French windows opening out onto a Moroccan style courtyard with fountain.
There is a large open plan kitchen at the heart of the villa with stand-up bar that leads out onto a covered terrace. The kitchen has plenty of storage including a pantry and access to the sun-drenched morning room where guests may choose to breakfast. The covered terrace with its colonial ceiling fans offers a large extension to the living area offering precious outdoor shade in the summer months and is the perfect year round spot do sit and drink in the wonderful views.
Upstairs, spread over two floors, are five bedrooms and 4 bathrooms; they are connected by a spiral staircase that winds up to a viewing tower offering 360-degree views of the surrounding countryside, sea and mountains.
The basement houses a wine cellar, storage room and utilities.
Amenities & Activities
Leading down from the villa a large swimming pool that has been artfully built into the hillside fully equipped with pool house, bathroom and summer kitchen. The deck chairs and parasols offer guests the ability to lounge in a very private environment.
Inside the villa across the internal courtyard you will find a well equipped gym with cardio machines and free weights giving out to the park side of the garden.
There is a private driveway leading down from Avenue Francis de Croisset to the villa and there is plenty of parking space on the property itself.
The centre of Grasse is directly west of the villa, walking distance on a flat road. It is a pleasant walk with great views but the road can get busy.
Just beneath the villa you can see a pony club in the view with its trotting arena. It is a short walk from the villa and licensed by the Fédération Française d’Équitation.
Further up the mountain side is the Riviera Nature adventure resort with rope climbing and zip lining activities which can be reached by car.
